Must be talking to an angel (of the north)
Not to sure what else there is in Gateshead, but we had passed by The Angel Of the North quite a few times on our way up to Scotland. It stands on a hill just off the A1 road, from which it is very clearly visible!
"WOW it's big"
The Angel of the North is a major landmark sculpture by Antony Gormley. The Angel symbolises the North East's regeneration and celebrates its engineering skills. Gateshead's Angel is 20 metres high and 52 metres wide. It is sited by the very busy A1 between the Washington-Birtley motorway services and the Team Valley.
