The Clifton is a large Victorian house not far from the city centre. (it only cost us ý5 for a taxi into town)
It's well run and friendly and serves a grand full English breakfast. The rooms are large and well decorated with all the amenities and comfy beds.
Why pay more for a characterless chain hotel?
Unique Quality: We were on the top floor and had great views over the city and to the hills
Directions: just off the A186 main road into City West.
