Quaint Business Hotel

Marriott Newcastle Gosforth Park is situated in a 12 acre parkland outside of Newcastle city center. There are 178 luxuriously appointed guest rooms complete with the comfortable sleeper beds and high speed internet access (paid). I really like the bed because it was soft with nice pillows & duvet. The bathroom was also complete with your basic amenities and lovely toiletries

I had a pretty good night's stay in the room despite the cold outside. A hearty breakfast at the Park Restaurant is included in the hotel rate

The Marriott

Well this is a 5 star hotel, really nice and wealthily decorated. On the few times I was there I saw almost every night people going to weddings ? perhaps it has something to do with the name of the hotel: ?Marriot?

In total I spend about a 4 nights on different dates... and I do like the place.

Unique Quality: They got a good kitchen but as it extends the image of the hotel, you almost feel uncomfortable when you not wearing a tie or smoking. Anyway, I found it not cheap, but I didn?t have to pay for it so I didn?t care 
It is close to the different Business parks round the airport and the center of town is at least 20min drive, so not the preferred place to stay as tourist.

Nice place to chill

by BorneoGrrl about Chat's Cafe Bar

Chat's Cafe Bar is located in the Marriott Newcastle Gosforth Park hotel. I was chilling here after a long day at the office with a glass of red wine while surfing the net. There is wifi here but you have to pay £6 per hour to use it

Newcastle Restaurants, Clubs and Pub Recommendations

by dkinny14

Hello. I will be visiting Newcastle this November (20-23), and I am looking for recommendations as to good restaurants, pubs and clubs. I have yet to book a hotel, but am looking at the Hilton, Marriott Gosforth Park and the Copthorne. I want to stay somewhere that is accessible to nightlife, but still nice. I have read about Jesmond as being a nice area with ample nighlife, is this true? If so would it be better to stay in that area? Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Gosforth Park is a bit of a way out of the centre - taxis would be needed for sure.
Jesmond is nice with a lot of the hotels sited along Osborne Road.
These are good because the excellent Metro system runs parallel to the road making a journey into the centre quick and easy. Lots of restaurants along there too.
