More about Staybridge Suites Newcastle

BEST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED IN!

by TripAdvisor Member NICRAFF

A beautiful, luxurious, spotless hotel in an excellent location close to the Quayside with friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed in many hotels throughout the world, including ones in New York and Chicago, and this is the best of the bunch by far. Breakfast was free, fresh and very tasty especially the muffins and, due to the lack of restaurant, takeaways were permitted and even encouraged. As the trip was for my partner's 30th birthday I requested balloons and champagne to be placed in our room for our arrival and this request was very willingly done by Caterina. I loved the hotel so much that I have now booked to stay in the one in Liverpool and I can't wait!

We didn't want to leave!

The concept of Staybridge Hotels is something that can only be envied by any other hotel chain. From the moment you arrive into reception, you are welcomed as if you were joining a friend for the weekend. There is nothing corporate or snobby (as is usual from a highly rated hotel) about this hotel. Staff are ultimately friendly, willing to help out at every opportunity, which makes checking in a pleasant experience. Rooms are outstanding. We stayed in one of the studio suites which was more than adequate with a lovely comfy sofa (footrest included) together with fully equipped kitchen. Bathrooms are modern, sleek with everything you need. The real highlight of Staybridge is the concept of the "hub" kitchen where guests meet up for breakfast, it takes buffet service to a new level, and the fact we could wander back in after a night out and get hot fresh lattes and cookies from the kitchen whatever time of night, was a more than welcome sight. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The hotel is meant for longer term guests staying for say a month or more, and I can understand why, once you check in here, you never want to leave. Well done for bringing this concept to the UK. Lets hope other lessers hotels realise this is the way forward.

Has everything you could possibly need

by TripAdvisor Member AMCG08

Stayed for one night for work. The concept is very cool - each room is really a small suite with kitchen and sofa area as well as bed & en suite. The hotel pantry has everything you need to cook a meal (not too expensive) and the breakfast (included) is self service but amazing! Better that the well equipped rooms are the really helpful staff. The only downside (which is minor) is that its a bit of a stroll into town. But the views of Baltic and the Millenium bridge totally make up for it. A really excellent place to stay in a lovely stylish city.

Just perfect!

Just a perfect property for business or leisure. Brand new with all mod cons. Very friendly staff, especially Paul and Laura at reception and Barbara in the breakfast area.
Just excellent and hence 5 Stars as you feel like you are at home!!

Well above and beyond expections

Just loved the concept of this hotel, the staff were very welcoming helpful and charming and looked very small. The suites were just bliss and highly recommended. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very smart, nice and modern.I'm planning to go back to Newcastle in the near future and shall be staying at the staybridge.

Fabulous rooms and fabulous service

by TripAdvisor Member c0mf0rtseeker

A great place to stay to enjoy Newcastle in comfort. An even better place to stay if you're away on business, as each room has it's own kitchen and lounge area. A real home away from home, the Staybridge suites staff were very friendly and explained to us how everything worked, you can help yourself to breakfast and there's even a little shop if you want to cook your own meals. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the bed was especially luxurious, I didn't want to get up! It is 5 mins from the quayside and the Millenium bridge. Whether you're travelling alone or with friends, it is a really lovely place to stay, I would certainly recommend it.

Innovative design...fantastic hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Bithaca

This hotel was booked by a friend for our one night in Newcastle. I was immediately impressed when I arrived...well designed, well furnished and well maintained. The rooms were lovely; incredibly comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and although we didn't use it, the kitchenette area was a novel idea for those staying on business.

Great Apartment hotel

Fab hotel with great staff and friendly manager.First time in an appartment hotel did nt know what to expect but beat expectations would recommend Staybridge suites to anyone.

Lived up to its reveiws

by TripAdvisor Member DublinAnne14

Really liked the idea of this hotel and becasue its quite new its very clean and modern. The beds, like everyone else has mentioned, are amazing. Room was really comfortable, only slight problem with leaking shower. Good channel choice on TV. They create a really relaxed atmosphere, with freshly baked cookies, coffee and fruit left out. This trip was to relax and not necessarily see Newcastle so the accomdation suited perfectly - you can even get takeaway up to your room. Would highly recommend for groups also as you can drink in your own room and treat it like your own place.
