Delightful little B&B!
Iain & Diane have a really lovely B&B establishment. He takes care of the business sides of things, and welcoming the guests, she is in charge of the cooking, and no doubt, the housekeeping! They are friendly and inviting.
The room was lovely, between a 3 and 4 star I would think.
Breakfast was superb, the diningroom was light and airy, food fresh and well cooked. Not oily!
Only downside with our particular room was the fact it had a shared bathroom (with one other room). It worked on a lock system, to ensure there was no-one in there when you went in! It worked fine. albeit having a slightly noisy male guest using the ablutions early one morning!
BUT we had booked last minute for this weekend away, so were really pleased to have found such a nice B&B at such late notice! It wasnt peak season though, I wouldnt leave it this late in peak season.
The area is lovely here, it is across the road from a nice little park (Fir Gardens), and it is within easy (5-10 minutes) walking distance to most amenities.
Highly recommended!
