More about Cherry Trees

A great stay!

by TripAdvisor Member AmDramMan

A fantastic find so close to the town and all it's wonderful restaurants. we stayed in the Tiffany room with it's warm and tasteful decor and incredible space. With it's own front door, it was lovely coming "home" and not having to disturb anyone. The only downside to the room, and this isn't a big one, was not having a garden to sit in if it was sunny (unless you want to face the car park). A great variety of breakfasts were very well cooked and generally of excellent quality. However, my only real complaint about the entire experience (and this is one of personal taste) is that I would prefer real meaty butcher's sausages instead of the pasty Little-Chef style ones we had - for an otherwise superb 5-star B&B, this did surprise me. It wouldn't stop me going back though!

Truly Wonderful!

We stayed in the Garden Room which was simply lovely. It had its own private garden plus a small conservatory where you could sit and relax with coffee/tea. The room was large and immaculate, with a gas fireplace, and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home. Breakfast is served in a small diningroom that has separate tables (so you don't have to sit with other people) and there's a menu, so you get to choose. The proprietors were very friendly and accommodating -- we had tea and cake upon arrival, and they provided us with a book of menus for local restaurants. It's a good location, can walk into town -- very convenient. We would definitely go back and highly recommend this place for a nice, relaxing stay!

Cherry Trees Guest House Stratford

We stayed at the Cherry Trees 5 Star Guest House in Stratford for our wedding anniversary in October this year. We stayed in the Garden Room which had its own conservatory and garden and four poster bed.
On arrival we were shown to our room by the owner then brought warm home made scones and tea. She then explained where all the places of interest were. The guest house is situated in an excellent location, close to the river, the theatres and the shops and restaurants.
The room was very clean and comfortable with special little touches. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was lovely. We would definitely go back there and plan to do so next spring or summer. The place definitely comes highly recommended.

Excellent - and perfect location for the RSC

by TripAdvisor Member Independent_travel

We agree with the other reviews - this is an excellent and well-run establishment. Accommodation is spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The owners are very helpful and their advice on Stratford's rather variable restaurant scene is invaluable. The standard of accommodation here is far better than in many UK hotels.
What the other reviews do not fully convey is that this is an excellent location for anyone going to an RSC production. The RSC (currenlty in the Courtyard) is just a short walk away - across the pedestrian bridge and away from the traffic. This makes it easy to visit the town and the theatre without using the car.

They go the extra mile!

Stayed at The Cherry Trees for 2 nights in February in the Garden Room which was superb. The cleanliness was excellent throughout and the private conservatory looking onto a nice garden area. There was also a little fridge in there which was great for chilling a nice bottle of wine - glasses and corkscrew were there too, they do think of everything!! The room was large more of a suite really with a lounge area and a Four Poster Bed. It is luxury B&B at its best.

We were greeted with one of Gills lovely afternoon tea trays with homemade jam and scones, which we enjoyed before exploring.

Breakfasts were also superb and kept us going till late afternoon.

Gill & Phil were very good hosts who have just the right level of friendliness without being obtrusive like you sometimes find in smaller establishments, they even went the extra mile and picked us up at the train station on arrival - in Phils Jag no less!

The CT is very close walking distance (over the bridge) to the town centre, but still felt lovely and private. there are loads of good eateries withing short walking distance - we tried The Thai Boathouse and The Chinese Buffet another night which has a lovely bar upstairs to relax with a cocktail.

Stay here on your next trip - I promise you won't be disappointed.

N.B. Before we left Gill gave me a look at the room she was refurbishing - The Terrace Room, it looks great, very modern and comfortable.

Superior, Luxurious and Comfortable Accomodation

by TripAdvisor Member bomac

This was our third stay in Cherry Trees, We stayed in The Garden Room, a very spacious and comfortable room with four poster bed, small conservatory to relax in with a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, although we didn't even need to make use of those straight away as we were offered warm scones and Tea/Coffee on our arrival which was really appreciated after a long drive.

Everything is immaculate and with great attention to detail.

It also has a Patio, which must be great in the summer months to make use of the Garden area.
Breakfast is superb with very fresh tasty local ingredients and kept us going till well into the afternoon.

The Location is another big bonus being so central while at the same time tucked away in a quiet location, best of both worlds!

You'll have to force yourself to leave the room to explore Stratford and Area as its so comfortable..also a superb luxury shower, full sized Digital TV, not one of those little wall mounted 14" portable ones!

This House offers better, certainly more personalised and friendly accomodation than any of the Big Hotels we've stayed at,
You couldn't wish for a more friendly attentive family in this excellent house.

I'm almost reluctant to leave this review in case you book the room when we want it again which we certainly will!

a fantastic break

by TripAdvisor Member jalwars

We went for our wedding anniversary and it was just the best. There was a cold bottle of champaign when we arrived and we wanted to have it in the garden, but as it was raining we sat in the lovely conservatory and we could still look at the garden. The owners were very nice and let us look at a book with lots of resturant menus in and another book with guest reccommendations for resturants in, so that we could choose where we wanted to eat. They even booked it for us when we had decided. The breakfasts were all cooked to order and the rooms were sparkling. We will definetly be back next year.

Outstanding accomodations

Phil and Gil are professional hosts that have invested in making their property the very best. We took over all three rooms and all of us were very pleased. The Garden Room is the best. We enjoyed a good breakfast. Remember to order the good stuff the night before .Great location.

best place to stay in stratford upon avon - seriously!

by TripAdvisor Member air-o2

Having visited stratford upon avon numerous times, I am glad to have found the perfect place for my future stays here.

Greeted by very hospitable hosts, we were initially booked for a triple bed suite but when we arrived, we were offered two suites for the price of the initial booking, but this was only the first of many pleasant surprises.

This is the only 5 star place to stay in the area, and at a very reasonable price. Each suite has its own character and style, but luxury is the one consistent element throughout. from spa showers, bath robes, private conservatories and a delightful garden, everything we could have asked for was available.

In the unlikely event something is missing, the hosts are just a bell ring away. Then there's the breakfast. delightful!

Highly recommended and we will visit again!

We have just returned from a short break in Stratford, using Cherry Trees as our base. It was excellent in every way. It is perfectly situated, close to the centre of Stratford but in a secluded location. The rooms are the best we've ever stayed in, at home and abroad. The breakfasts were freshly cooked with high quality foodstuffs. The weather was poor while we were there so it was lovely to come back to a warm welcoming room with all the comforts of home. Nothing was too much trouble for Gill or Phil. We will definitely be recommending Cherry Trees to friends and relations and look forward to returning ourselves in the future.
