Tourist Information Office

Warwick has a very good Tourist Information Office provided by the town council.
It is located in the old Court House on the corner of Jury Street and Castle Lane (it's well signposted).

Warwick Races
by DUNK67
Go and watch a National Hunt horse racing meeting at Warwick Racecourse, it is great fun.
It is a nice course but some of the stands are a bit old but interesting. One of the bars is called the Spartan Missile Bar, named after a Grand National runner, I made a point of going into this bar as I had backed Spartan Missile in that race. Binoculars are ideal to see the horses on the far side of the course and lots of money.
Stepping on the dead..............

................well, not quite (although the floor of the crypt is covered with tombstones). Although tombstones are often removed from old churches, and re-placed, I have never seen them actually cut up and used as steps like those in the photo. Look down as you enter the crypt of the Collegiate Church of St Mary.

In 914 AD, when the threat of invasion grew than the central Anglo-Saxon kingdom, Ethelfleda decided to make a castle around Warwick. It is one of the best Medieval Castle in England. The castle has State Rooms, Royal Weekend Party, Kingmaker exhibition, extensive grounds, torture chambers and dungeons. It’ open all week and the price is for adult £11.25 and kids £6.95. plenty of information could be find on www.warwick-castle.co.uk.
Warwick Folk Festival
by avanutria
This festival was a lot of fun; 2005 was my first time attending and I've been twice now. We chose to camp both times and there were lots of tents and caravans on the grounds.
The workshops were fun and the vendors were great, there was a row of musical vendor stalls and then the other area was crafts and clothing and things. Standard festival fare.
We had great weather this year except for the Saturday, but unlike last year things dried out before the tent fell apart and we were able to stay until Monday without massive problems.
I'll be at Warwick in 2007!
