Its well signposted and anyway is only a few hundred yards at most.
It will take about 5 mins depending on how long it takes to cross a busy road at a pedestrian crossing.

The quickest way I'd go from station to station is, come out of your platform, through the people checking tickets, turn to the left and out them main doors. Walk out on to the main road and on your left you should see 3 blue bus stops, turn left and cross over and follow the road down on the left and underneath a tunnel, you will look like you are walking in the middle of nowhere because there isn't no shops or anything down there. Then when you come out of the end of this tunnel, you will be by the bullring and all you have to do is cross over to Moor Street station. Estimated walking time, 4 mins? Not even that?

Good luck, its not hard to find.

If you want a visual image, put both stations into www.streetmap.co.uk and print out the map.

Travel Tips for Birmingham

For any chocoholic a trip to...

by cheekymarieh

For any chocoholic a trip to Cadbury World is a must. Included in the admission price, you will get to sample the delights that the company offers. We visited close to Easter and so I had the chance to eat my first Easter egg of the year.

There is something for everyone in the trip from the 3 1/2 year old child in our party to the adults. If you are lucky you get to see the packaging plant in operation.

It is located in the area of the city known as Bournville (which the delicious dark chocaolate is named after) and is easily accesssible from the motorways and also by rail.

I am putting this on this page as an 'off the beaten path' because there is no Worcester page.
Visit the house where the English composer Sir Edward Elgar was born. He is perhaps best known for his 'Land of Hope and Glory'.
He was born on the 2nd of June 1857 near the Teme Valley. The cottage houses a unique collection of manuscripts, scores and press cuttings plus photos. The composer's desk is also there laid out as his wife did it when her husband was working. There are also lots of personal memorabilia such as lettersand photos.
The composer died in Worcester on the 23rd of Fberuary 1934
the house is at Lower Broadheath, Worcester.
From Worcester take the A44 towards Leominster and then it is signposted 'Broadheath - Elgar's Birthplace'

A very expensive souvenir

Made in Birmingham - well almost.

One of the most beautiful and quintesentially english sports cars, the MGF has just had it's production resumed at Longbridge, just south of Birmingham. The old site produced thousands of cars every year - all of the Rover's group range. A combination of rubbish build quality and stroppy unions eventally led to bankrupcy in 2005, but a Chinese firm bought the site and production rights. Only about 300 people are employed there now to screw together what comes over in containers from mainland China; but it still counts as English in my book.

Despite the fact that Rover group produced a stream of complete dogs, this little car is a gem. It;s not the fastest, most reliable or newest car on the road (the MGF is a 12 year old car now), but it still gives you a great little buzz and smile on a face if you can find a gap between the showers to drive with the roof down. I know I've got one. Will sell to a good owner.

centro Trains

by kayleigh06

Many train services run into Birmingham city centre and around Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Going by train is the fastest way to get from 1 place to anohter and see Birmingham to the full.

Most main attractions can be reached by train, and if not they aren't far away from the train stations.

I was so pleased that this location worked out well for the meeting. A nice atmosphere, good food and nice background music that did not drown out the conversation. No complaints about the food from any of the VT members.
