*BAR / CLUB WORK IN BIRMINGHAM*

by karamel_flex

Hi..last Monday 12/12/05 myself and everyone at my work got told we were all getting made redundant on Thursday 15/12/05...not nice...especially 2weeks before christmas...anyway...the bars/clubs where i live are crap & i guess im a big fish in a very small pond which is slowing becoming extinct...so now iv told you the story...lets get down to business...

What i'm looking for: 'LIVE-IN' Bar / Club job...full time...id prefer to work in a place which played RnB and Hip Hop but chart music i could put up with...its very important that the place has a live-in facility or helps provide me with somewhere to stay...i dont mind fully paying but their own accommodation would be very helpfull...if not...do you know any nice...cheap...good area places to stay?...

Well thanks for reading this and i look forward to hearing from you...thanks again and Merry Christmas to you all an Happy New Year...xxxx

Depends on what you are content with. The Aussie pub (although can be a bit ferral) has live in work as do some other pubs along Broad St. There are lots of nice bars in Birmingham too but I doubt they have live in options

Maps will be needed to get round Birmingham, some places (especially Birmingham city centre) will be quite confusing and as its so busy all the time its best to know where your going before you set out

Birmingham is a metropolis...

by Moricamby

Birmingham is a metropolis that swallowed up villages, some of which still exist. Look out for old Yardley, old Harborne, Sarehole Mill.
When visiting the Bull Ring, look out for the mediaeval church, the original church of thefounding de Birmingham family.

Arthouse Cinema and Local Theatre

by J_P_B about Midlands Art Centre

The Midlands Art Centre (or MAC as it's known locally) has a small cinema which shows films that are often overlooked by bigger, Multiplex cinemas. It also has a number of stage productions, both amateur and professional put on on it's indoor and outdoor stages. Furthermore, it has a bar and a cafe. When I was a kid, I used to go to classes there. I'm fairly sure they still run them... everything from Judo to Music and Pottery. None as such

THE BEST WAY TO GO TO ANY...

by CURIOUSS

THE BEST WAY TO GO TO ANY PLACE IN NORTH WALES OR ANGLESEY IS TO TAKE THE CAR(M1/M6/A55), OR THE TRAIN
TO YOUR DESTINATION. ONCE ARRIVED THEN PURCHASE A
BUSTICKET FOR 3 OR 5 DAYS. THIS IS QUITE CHEAP
3 DAYS 10 POUNDS(2000!) AND GIVES YOU UNLIMITED
TRAVEL BETWEEN CHESTER, HOLYHEAD AND ABERYSTWYTH.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO TO SWANSEA/CARDIFF BUT NOT ON
ONE DAY.(TRAVELLING ROUND IDEA!!)BUSCOMPANY: ARRIVA
ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS TO PURCHASE A COMBINED
BUS/TRAINTICKET (4 DAYS TRAIN/8 DAYS BUS) 40 PNDS.
THIS GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO TRAVEL ALL THROUGH WALES
FROM SWANSEA TO HOLYHEAD, AS WELL FOR THE TRAIN AS WELL FOR THE BUS.

Japan in Birmingham ;)

by Maggies about Wagamama

You can find Wagamama restaurants all across the UK, well, mostly in London, and also in few other countries including Australia. Some may call it Japanese fast food but I wound't. It's quick, it's tasty and it's a great choice anywhere you are. You keep in mind that they don't have sushi. Their noodles are excellent. Ginger chicken udon, amai udon or yaki soba are sooo delicious. As for a dessert, try their lemon cake with ginger and cream.
