I have been able to book into here for as little as 24 Pounds. This is great for business travellers. The staff are nice, they have a bar that shows sports and you get free newspapers in the lobby. The bar staff are excellent and you can even eat food whilst having a pint.
The restaurant I wouldn?t bother with for an evening meal. You are 2 bus stops away from BROAD STREET! Yes, you may be on business, but enjoy. You can pay 60p each way and drink and eat yourself silly. Broad Street is where it is at in Birmingham! Japanese, Italian, Cajun, Portuguese BBQ. Go to the pictures or the Vodka Bar, the choice is yours. The money you save by staying here could pay the entry fee into Gentlemen's (adult) clubs. And you can still be in bed by 11pm and off to work the next morning.
In the morning, do realise that the Breakfast staff are not very bright or helpful. Breakfast is excellent, but NEVER give them your room number until after you have had your coffee/tea brought to you. Once they have the number they will not serve you your beverage and you get charged. If you manage to leave without giving your number, just say no breakfast when you check out. Then you just get it free!
There is a small gym you can use. Take your flip-flops, as there is always water on the floor. They have a pool and whirlpool and you can watch TV whilst you run on the treadmill.
So it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION on a budget. You don?t pay much and it?s basic, but good. They also have a Rewards programme where you get free nights stay after every 12 night you stay with them. Not bad is it? You can then stay at one of their more upscale properties.
Look here for some of the delights of Broad Street:

Remember to only turn left out of the car par in the morning.
** They also have meeting rooms with a good lunch buffet. **
