I would say go shopping there especially now in the January sales. It has so many famous stores with Jewellers, markets, etc. It has practically every store! My favourite memory while there was just being amazed by my eyes so many things buildings covered by lights, massive companies surrounding us. It was nice.
Canal Side Walk

Take the canal side walk from the "Mail Box" to Brindley Place and then on past the NIA. Follow the canal down a steep flight of locks until you emerge at Snow Hill - handy for a trip to the Jewelry Quarter
Sweet Tooth
by brummielaura about Mr Simm's Olde Sweet Shop
This is a wonderful, old-fashioned sweet shop, stacked with big jars of candy. They also have a large selection of not-so-old-fashioned jelly beans and other sweets.
The shop is located in the Great Western Aracade, which in itself is worth a visit.

Buses run regularly throughtout Birmingham day and night. There are buses to and from the town centre almost every 15 minutes. From The Norfolk hotel on Hagleys road it only cost us £1.20 to the town centre which was a 10 minute journey away. This was bus number 225.
Also a tip if you want to get back to the city from Drayton Manor park bus number 110 is the one to get, its only £2.50 and takes around 30 minutes back to Birmingham. The bus stop is located on the left hand side of the road once you get out of the park and only a 10 minute walk down the road.
We made the mistake of getting a taxi there at a cost of £25.00 but decided to get the bus home for only £2.50 each.

Birmingham has a very loarge wide range of food from all over the globe. It varies from expensive to cheap and is practically everywhere! My favourite was probably the Hard Rock Cafe with American food although it was a little expensive I didn't care too much - I wasn't paying!
It sells American food and the whole atmosphere in it was great! Of course the Burger and Fries!
