The Lygon Arms, Broadway, Worcestershire. An expensive hotel well worth the experience. If you don't stay at least go once for dinner in the restaurant with the minstrels gallery!
A good hotel in a pleasing village with a delightful aspect. You can easily reach Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, Warwick or just use it as a centre for touring the Cotswolds.
Lower Brook House in the village of Blockley. Run by Marie Mosedale-Cooper this has been an award-winning place that remains a wonderful secret in a quiet village near all the major Cotswold centres. You couldn't have a more delightful hostess or a better place to stay. It is run as a private home, and Marie's furniture is elegant and comfortable.
A civilised place to stay, a retreat from the madding world, that is easy on the eye and the mind. Nothing is too much trouble for Marie. The place is idyllic. I took the photo on the left from my bedroom window in February 2001.
Well I stayed with family at the time in Hinkley which is great because it's more convenient and you don't have to pay! However if you need a hotel the Hilton is supposed to be very good as it is 4 stars.
The prices range from £37 - £195!
It has wimming pool it's in a fabulous area and is quite near to town.
Thistle Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon
Honestly can't remember - it was a while ago anyway and will have changed now.
Nice hotel, good location close to the centre of Stratford, very handy for the theatre and nicely positioned by the river.
