Stopover for a flight from Birmingham Airport

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on November 12, 2012

An ideal stopover for our flight with a bus stop to the train station just across the road. We did not eat at the hotel so I ca not comment. Reception service was fine and the hotel was centrally located.

Unique Quality: A typical travel lodge but it had recently opened so everything was pristine.

A Wetherspoons pub is a couple of minutes walk and I would recommend it for food and beer :-)

It is next door to a Primark store - so handy if you have forgotten something and need dome cheap clothing.

Directions: Centre of town

The Travelodge in Coventry is located right in the centre of the City - a stonesthrow away from the Cathedral and right next door to the shopping centre. The rooms are clean, comfortable and give you everything you want for a City Break or a night away. The rooms are equipped with a flat screen tv, hanging space for your clothes and tea/coffee making facilities. There are no toiletries provided (apart from soap) and there are no hairdryers in the rooms although you can loan one from reception. The travelodge in Coventry had a nice looking restaurant which served breakfast and meals during the day for a reasonable price. There is also a very nice bakery just oustide the main doors which serve some nice breakfasst baguettes, sandwiches and cakes. Car parking for the travelodge is provided in the West Orchard Car Park - travelodge customers are to park in the blue zones and are allowed to park overnight between 18.00 and 8am for a fee of five pounds, parking outside these times is charged at the normal car park rate. I enjoyed my stay here - especially due to the proximity to all of the attractions. We paid the reduced rate of Nineteen pounds per room by going on the website a few months in advance - this is definitely one of the best travel deals around and applies to many of the other Travelodge locations across the UK.
