The Talbot Hotel: The Talbot. Now the only hotel in town.

I must admit that because I live in the area, I have only sampled the ancilliary side of the hotel, i.e. their bar and function rooms.

I am told, however, that all rooms are very nice.

The hotel is an old coaching inn and parts of it date back to the sixteenth century.

Nice 'olde worlde' character but I am told that accomodation is a bit pricy.

Their beers are a bit limited but the lounges have a warm cosy atmosphere. They have a public bar but it is not always open.

Hotel car park at the rear.

STOP PRESS: Bar and Lounge had a complete redecoration and is now open again.
