More about Fairlawns At Aldridge, Hotel And Spa
Fab Fairlawns
by TripAdvisor Member b00dy
We've just had a one night stay at the Fairlawns Hotel in Aldridge and wished that it had been a week long stay. Right from the beginning you feel at home at this hotel from the welcoming smiles of the staff to the comfort of the rooms. Our bedroom was really big and beautifully decorated and furnished. Also 'joy of joys' duvets on the beds. The curtains especially took my eye but, sadly, not enough room in the suitcase! I took a relaxing swim in the pool whilst my other half sank a couple of pints in the bar before getting ourselves tarted up for a scrummy Dinner in the Restaurant. This, needless to say was accompanied by a bottle of wine chosen from a varied and not overpriced wine list. Breakfast was also a real treat when we were presented first with pots of HOT coffee followed by HOT toast and then a freshly cooked HOT breakfast. Neither of us could remember when this last happened in a hotel. Many thanks to John Pette and his team. This family run hotel deserves to go from strength to strength.
Thank you Tripadvisor

My company is relocating to Cannock and I had not really found a place which felt right so I read all the reviews on this site and decided to go a bit out of my way to try this hotel. So far I have been in three others in the area (Ramada Cannock, Village Walsall, and Roman Way Cannock) and I have to say that this is the best - especially for a single female. The staff made me feel really welcome and I was not at all intimidated. The swimming pool is very large, there is a choice of 2 gyms, internet access is free, room service was excellent and there is a large choice on the tv. It was certainly nice to be able to watch the football in my own room rather than in a bar. Had it not been for Tripadvisor I would probably never have found this hotel because it is not part of a large group. I am really pleased I did.
fantastic wedding reception
by TripAdvisor Member HelsBellsxx
We recently had our wedding reception at Fairlawns 22 sept just wanted to say how fantastic the staff were especially michelle are host nothing was a problem, everthing went so smoothly they really do make it special! Food was Fab and room was lovely
They even arranged our breakfast in a separate room as there was a lots of guests staying over, very nice breakfast. The only downside was the next morning Kids wanted to use the pool and were told kids swimming was 2-5 pm (even though pool was empty and they would of been with adults) That said its a fab hotel and will return (also the romantic weekend are lovely!)
perfect in everyway!!

Just like to say, how wonderful the fairlawns is for a perfect wedding venue.
as soon as i became engaged, the fairlawns was the only venue i wanted. it had everything we could ever wish for and more.
the gardens are incredibly well maintained, and perfect for beautiful wedding photos, the wedding gazebo is also a lovely touch. Although the venue is close to a fairly busy road, no traffic sound could be heard.
From the moment me and my husband arrived, we were treated expeptionally well. Atiea our waiter was the perfect host, he was attentitive, and made sure that every detail was perfect.
The food was outstanding, and very warm. The fairlwans also catered very well for a friend, who has a very severe food allergy.
everyone had a wonderful time.
much to my pleasure, as we were having no evening do. due to honeymoon arrangements, the fairlawns allowed my guests to mingle outside on the patio, with drinks, to await for our depature.
I personally feel, that the Fairlawns have done me and my family proud, weddings can be stressful to arrange, but my wedding co-ordinatiors jo and annable, were fantastic, they guided me through so much, and ensured that everything was perfect. thankyou!!
Our meal was in the resturant, which is a perfect veune, for smaller wedding parties, we had 70 guests, no one felt claustrophobic, and the ambience of the room was amazing, speaches could be heard very well, without the need to shout.
will we be visiting the fairlwans again?? well Yes!!! cant wait to visit again!!!!
well done and thankyou again, for such a perfect wedding!!!
Wedding Romantic Evening for 2
by TripAdvisor Member peddersmeister
We got married on the Saturday and wanted to stop the Sunday night using the top level Romantic Evening for 2 deal (including evening meal and 4 poster bed).
The hotel very kindly altered this deal so we had the presidential suite for an extra £20 a total of £190 for dinner bed, breakfast, champagne chocolates and a lovely red rose.
The suite we had had a balcony with a table and chairs and the room was separated into a bedroom area and a lounge area which inclueded a TV fridge and safe as well as a desk and dressing table. The bathroom was bright and relaxing but we didnt really spend much time in there.
There was a network cable to plug your laptop into for the internet , I think it was free but I didn't think my new wife would appreciate me spending all the night on the internet!!!
The Spa facilities were splendid, which is a shame as neither of us can swim which made the pool kind of useless to us, but it appears to be a relaxed and family friendly area.
The saunas ar very nice, the outdoors sauna rooms gave us a nice cool and bracing walk back into the complex!
The heated relaxation beds were our favourrites, a ergonomically shaped bed, which to look and feel is something you would think to be like lying on a tiled floor but is actually suprisingly comfortalble and found ourselves falling asleep on them before dinner Sunday night and again after breakfast on Monday morning!
Really nice place
by TripAdvisor Member normanspain
If you want a comfortable place then this will tick every box. I stay all over the area and can asure you that this is just a really nice place to be. Okay it needs a little modernising in its approach but nevertheless it is looked after. Somebody here cares. Will stay again.
"madwives" spa escape
by TripAdvisor Member escapees
We are a group of 8 fairly local midwives who have just returned from our "signature stay" spa overnight at the Fairlawns.........WOW! What can we say? We're all still floating on air after such a fantastic find in this day of overpriced treats. We are quite a critical bunch who work extremely hard and had always said we would do something like this, and eventually did after many years - but the Fairlawns surpassed all of our expectations of what comprises a good break.
We cannot fault one single aspect of it, everything ticks a box. We were lucky compared to some reviews to have been booked on a spa break rather than just hotel guests, because these linked rooms to the spa complex are the best.
Standard of food and service/ambience/friendliness/helpfulness etc were the highest i've known in a long time.
We were also lucky to arrive on a Sunday afternoon until Monday evening, which may be a generally quieter time.
As far as spa breaks go - this place tops 'em.; discreet staff, no dithering, totally relaxing environment that doesn't need "working at" to get comfortable, unusual therapies, non-stop complimentary drinks and snacks, patios, sun decks, garden, separate and different sauna suites and unique foot spas and heated ergonomic mosaic longers - fabulous! Many other professional spa/therapy outlets could do with learning from this place - as well as copying their prices! We got SO much for our money (easily checked out on their website).
We will be going again - it was so good, we would all return tomorrow if we could - there was more than enough to occupy a longer time there; we hadn't realized until we explored the grounds that there were also tennis courts (racquets available for complimentary use) and a trim trail.
Well done Fairlawns - if you can do it, why can't everyone else? All staff seemed to just enjoy what they were doing and leave you to enjoy what you're doing, discreetly and professionally; lots of local staff which makes a nice change..........don't EVER become part of a chain - this type of independent provision wins every time.

Stayed here for just one night on our way up north from the South West and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience and exceptional value. This is a very good, standard three-star traditional English-style business hotel.
We had a dinner bed and breakfast rate and ate from the set menu which was very good indeed and were impressed with the restaurant. The breakfast was good too.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds very nice and the leisure centre excellent. The room very adequate although nothing special. Can't think of anything bad to say except perhaps that it was hard to find from the M6, but that was mainly due to road works in Walsall. Will stay again.
Wow! The best Spa hotel I have ever been to.

This place is a treasure! The staff are friendly, the hotel grounds are lovely, the food is delicious and the Spa is brilliant. Stayed with a large group of friends and we had a wonderful time, came home extremely relaxed. I will definitely go again.
Amazing

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel on the Romantic Evening for 2 deal, it is extremely well priced (starts at £99.50 but I would suggest adding the spa and breakfast so totals around £133). Although the spa and leisure facility is only small, there is plenty to do. The spa treatments are reasonably priced and definitely make the stay a relaxing one. The rooms are extremely clean and pleasant although as with many English hotels the lack of air con is a shame in the summer months (although a fan was provided in the room) the hotel staff are all extremely pleasant, polite and always willing to help. The food is exceptional and of a very high standard, the restaurant is very pleasant and not too large. The grounds are well kept, although there have weddings taking place it has never interfered with our stay on either occasions, which can sometimes happen with a small establishment. I would certainly suggest the hotel for wedding parties that are also looking for a small family run hotel. Overall, on both occasions could not fault a thing, looking forward to going back.
