on May 19, 2005The room was the basic Travelodge room with the usual facilities (you can look it up on the net). It was clean on arrival and cleaned and tidied daily during our short stay. Most people will know that Travelodge is a chain which does not claim to offer more than I've just described and the price reflects this policy. There are no public rooms, no bar, no restauarant; just ensuite double rooms with bed settee which will accomodate a third person. There did not seem to be air conditioning so it might be hot in high summer but there were opening windows.
On the same site is a Little Chef cafe serving all day breakfasts (and a limited range of other meals) and a filling station with a small shop. Fontwell race course is within easy walking distance, Arundel is a 10 minute drive east and Chichester a 20 minute drive to the west. There are several pubs with restaurants and/or bar food within a 10 minute drive.
We would be happy to stay there again.
