Great service to get you on your way
by TripAdvisor Member LumixGlos_
Only a one night stop as they specialise in hotel plus car parking facilities for those off on holiday from Gatwick Airport.
The room was clean, but in need of updating, but had comfortable beds and a good ensuite. There was also a lovely view over the fields, so despite being less than 10 mins from Gatwick it was very peaceful.
We also had an excellent evening meal there in pleasant surroundings and a drink in the bar. The owner was very pleasant and offered a really good drop off and pick up service.
We will definitely use it again when we next travel from Gatwick.
Good hotel

We have used this hotel on many occasions & have never had any reason to complain,we had our wake up call as requested, breakfast was good.
On returning back to the UK we phoned the hotel once through customs & they came straight away to collect us.
We will be using Ifield court again when we next fly from Gatwick.
Friendly & great location

Friendly family run hotel in lovely grounds. Great location for Gatwick, they shuttle you too and from the airport and look after your car, Great stress free start to your holiday. We will use them again.
Great Service to Gatwick Airport
by TripAdvisor Member dagusStAlbans
We had a dreaded early morning flight out of Gatwick to Zakynthos, too early for the train service down from St Albans. We came across this lovely, traditional hotel set in the Sussex countryside a 10 minute drive from Gatwick Airport. For £100 we got bed and breakfast, free secure parking for our car for a fortnight and a free shuttle service to and from the airport. We had an excellent dinner when we arrived and really felt that the holiday had started when we arrived at the hotel. Staff at the hotel were friendly and professional - we cannot praise the hotel enough!
Nice way to start a holiday

Stayed at Ifield Court Hotel prior to flying off to Barbados. Had Previously stayed there a few years ago and it was everything we remembered. Lovely setting (lots of rabbits running around the grounds) and despite being in the take off flight path it was not too noisy!
We had a fantastic meal the evening we arrived. The family room we had was comfortable and met our needs. The full English breakfast was very welcomed and gave us more time once we cleared security to shop. Transfer to and from Gatwick was excellent and they accommodated our late return to Gatwick without any fuss or bother.
We would certainly stay again when we fly from Gatwick.

Great place to park the car and start your holiday We have used the place for a good few years now .It is now under new management and we noticed a few subtle changes (change is good) We missed boots and molly running around however a nice new labradoor has taken over . We will continue to use the ifield in the future. A McClarren
Good value base to start your holiday
by TripAdvisor Member LandJ-Bucks
We, and members of our family, have used Ifield court as a starting point for any holiday from Gatwick for several years now. It is great value for money and whilst ungoing recent ownership changes it remains a great choice for parking, overnight accomodation and a collection and delivery service to the airport terminal. We will be using again.
An overpriced dump of a hotel!
by TripAdvisor Member WWG_Wiltshire
We stayed here on the evening before our flight from Gatwick airport, on my parents-in-law's recommendation, with our two small children. Our room looked as is if it hadn't been updated since the 1970s, the bathroom was tiny and the shower miniscule.
On arrival at the hotel we were asked to wait in the lounge as the receptionist had 2 other couples to check in. After waiting for over 20 minutes in the lounge my partner sought out the receptionist, who we can only assume had forgotten about us.
The bar was open for very limited hours and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Dinner took forever, despite having booked a table for 7pm, not what you need when you have a 3 yr old child and a baby to deal with. However, the food at dinner was very good despite the service being diabolical. However the food at breakfast was not so good. The biggest complaint I have is when we returned to Gatwick airport and rang to be collected, we were told that they did not have any record of our booking! Unbelievable! So after a 30 minute wait and another phone call, we were picked up, as the driver had gone to the wrong terminal!
This hotel is particularly unsuitable for families due to the lack of facilities outside breakfast and dinner hours.
Not a friendly place

When arriving the receptionist couldn't be bothered to help and was more interested in answering the phone. The hotel looked tired and grubby. We struggled upstairs with our luggage - no lift. The room was very nice but the bathroom was not good. A cracked basin and NO HOT WATER to the shower the following morning. When we went for breakfast we were the only ones in the dining room. When we went to pay a couple were saying never again as it was a tired hotel. He said he had stayed in the past and it had been wonderful. Eventually a lady arrived and I told her I was not happy and she just disappeared!! A gentleman came and asked me if I had a problem so I told him our experience. He said LOOK we inherited all these problems and I've just spent £100,000 on the fire alarm systems.!! So all in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we were collected from the airport there was not a problem.
A truly AWFUL hotel

This is a terrible hotel. The management appear to have learnt their trade from the Basil Fawlty school of management and everything was too much trouble for them. The rudest hotel staff I have ever come across.
Our room was the size of a shoe box and the bathroom was so small you had to sit on the toilet at an angle, No hot water.
The restaurant was ridculously overpriced and the food terrible.
The bus to the airport (which is quite a distance away) only leaves once an hour so we had the choice of being late or spending an extra three quarters of an hour at the airport. We waited half an hour to be picked up on our return and I then discovered my car radio was tuned to a local FM station when I had left it on radio 5 live for the traffic report (the junction to the M23 was closed the night we arrived)
I wouldn't stay at this hotel for free.
