Christmas Eve- the Worthing Way
by biggeorge
Celebrate Xmas Eve in time honoured Worthing tradition.
Start at eleven a.m on the outskirts of town and pub-crawl your way into the town centre.
Falling over is encouraged, as is lechery and top the evening off by going clubbing.
You can also participate in the unique phenomenon of fighting in the street on Christmas Day itself ( even WW1 had a truce )
Its also not Christmas if you don't pass out during your dinner the next day.
Cissbury Ring
by biggeorge
Iron age hillfort on the top of Cissbury Hill , the actual hill was occupied much longer with the remains of Neolithic flint mines ,but now the preserve of dog-walkers and the occasional flasher. Good place to go to watch the sun come up on New Years Day though the woods on the Findon Valley side of the hill are a favourite spot for suicides.

"Sleepy little sea side town"
Well it is and it isn't a sleepy little town. For most people Worthing is either a place they have never heard of or a place they have heard of and have no wish to visit. It has the reputation of Gods waiting room, in as much as people come here to die, however, it really is quite a nice place to be sometimes. Always good to get away though!
