I have to say, this was the highlight of my week in Bradford. The place is a pub. With loads of real ales, and lots of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) awards. The interior was like a museum. At round about 7 pm, the barman lit a candle and went round lighting the gas lamps. Excellent choice of other drinks, like dozens of malt whiskies, good rum, even a bottle of Absinthe. Excellent choice of music on the free juke box... things like pre-war blues artists that no one still living has ever heard of, but still funky. And paintings. There is a mural in the back bar room, of all the rock stars who have died, supping ale in the New Beehive. Janis is there, Sid Vicious, Jim Morrison, Elvis, Charlie Parker, Lennon, on the joanna, there is a bust of Ludwig Van B..... a really excellent painting. The land lord also does food... very tasty, everything fresh, and a good breakfast. Cheap too.
Unique Quality: Nice rooms.
No TV in the public bars.
Clientele tend to be interesting as well.
