Welcoming, friendly and clean!

by TripAdvisor Member Fluffmeister

I stayed at the Fleece Inn for a weekend and had a lovely time. The pub is welcoming, friendly and clean. Nothing is too much trouble for Nick, Adele and their team. The bitters are exceptionally good quality and well kept by Nick. In addition to this, the food is some of the best homemade pub food I've ever tasted! Thanks for a great time, I look forward to staying with you again. Fluff.

Lovely place to stay in a great area

by TripAdvisor Member greenhey

We chose The Fleece for the Timothy Taylor’s beer but it is highly recommended for many other reasons. We arrived at about 10am clearly not expecting to get in to our room. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and offered some coffee. The room was clean pleasant and although we only had one meal at the pub, it was very good. Staff could not do enough to ensure we were happy during our stay.
We had the added bonus of being there when the local brass band had their practice night in an area attached to the pub and they allowed us to watch which was most enjoyable. They also finished at 9.45pm so no disturbed sleep!
The area around The Fleece is great for walking (as long as you don't mind hills) and there are plenty of interesting places to browse or if having a longer stay, other places to get good food and real ale.
We also left managed to leave some valuables behind which were promptly posted to our home address.

Fantastic Place

Wonderful two days and nights at the Fleece in Haworth. From the minute we arrived and were greeted with a handshake from Nick the owner, and were shown to our room by Andy.

The room like everything else was well presented and very clean, with all of the fittings being of high quality and all very new.

All of the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and above all else were all very good at their jobs. The all seemed to want to make our stay the very best it could have been.

We were looking for a few days R&R away from our two teenagers and we couldn't have picked a better location for our break. Nick and the rest of the staff were superb, as was the good selection of food and beers available. We had the chsnce to eat elsewhere in Haworth, but to be honest we didn't see the point of going anywhere else.

We were so impressed, that whilst checking out, we booked another weekend in a few months time.

We would recommend the Fleece to anyone who wants a great place tp stay, in clean, friendly surroundings.

We spent Monday night 25th Sept at The Fleece.
The room was clean, warm and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
Nick and Adele made us welcome in the evening whilst Andy, the chef and his sidekick Dan made us an excellent breakfast.Very friendly bar.

We'll be going there again.

A Lovely Pub

by TripAdvisor Member PeterCrudge

We stayed here for a couple of nights, to visit the steam railway festival.
We were checked into a really nice bright comfy room by lovely Nick, the owner / Landlord.
It was really nice, spotless clean, great power shower, comfy bed, we didnt need to ask for anything.
Although we went out to eat, we later had a few pints in the bar here, which was crowded, but great fun on a saturday night, they serve a great range of the Tim taylor beers here, all on handpump.
It was great for me, a real ale fanatic.
Breakfast was great, relaxed, unhurried, but very pleasant.
We were sorry to leave, and will be back next year

Will be returning next year and would be more than happy to recommend to others.

Very Welcoming, Friendly, Warm And Clean, With Great Food !!!

by TripAdvisor Member sh4161

We stayed at "The Fleece Inn" from ;-
Sunday 9/12/07 through to Wednesday 12/12/07.

When we arrived at Haworth (on a very busy Sunday afternoon), we wasn't quite sure where "The Fleece" was, or where to park.
We phoned to check, and the staff were most helpful with their guidance, even offering to meet us at the bottom of the street, to help with our luggage if needed.

Nick Hindle (the Publican) was away for the weekend, and so wasn't there when we arrived, but we were immediately made very welcome by the Staff in charge.
They showed us to our room (we had the beautiful "Bronte Suite") upstairs at the front of the Inn, and informed us of everthing that was going on in the Village.

A Brass Band and candlelit procession with Carol singers, were due to walk the streets at 5.00pm that afternoon, so we quickly unpacked and went out to see the locality before anything started.
It was like going back in time. What a beautiful Village, and everyone in the shops and cafes are warm and friendly !!!

At 5.00pm, the procession was due to start, so we went back to our room and sat on the windowsill to watch.
Are we glad that we did. The Street was heaving with people AND we got the best possible view. It was lovely !!!

Later, we went down to the bar area for a few pints and something to eat.

The public bar is a lovely place to just sit and relax with a pint, in front of the log fire.
There are many beers on sale to choose from, every one of them being excellent !!!
We can also reccomend the food.
If you like your dinners spicey, try the "Moroccan Chicken Stew", you will not be disapointed !!!

The next morning, we sat having our really hearty breakfasts.
Nick was back from his weekend away by this time, and immediately came over to introduce himself and shake our hands, telling us that if we needed anything at all, not to hesitate to ask.

We could not have asked for better hospitality anywhere, and will certainly be going back to "The Fleece Inn" some time in the future.

Thanks to Nick and all the staff, for helping to make a few days away, wonderful !!!

Stephen & Paul.
Wigan.
