Brontë Parsonage Museum
The three Brontë sisters - Charlotte, Emily and Anne - lived with their father, a church minister, in the Parsonage at Haworth, a small Yorkshire village. The house where they lived is now the Brontë Parsonage Museum, where their amazing literary lives are detailed for visitors. Each of the sisters wrote her most famous novel in this house in the 1840s: Charlotte (Jane Eyre), Emily (Wuthering Heights) and Anne (The Tenant of Wildfell Hall).

A Japanese garden in Leeds city centre
Ok, some of the dishes are more Chinese than Asian, but this is a good place to eat both for dinner and lunch.
Tables cut from the same huge tree, Japanese garden constructed inside, healthy food and drinks. Loads to choose from. Friendly staff. Great veggie options. Sushi available. Good mid range prices. Bento Box meals are great
Victoria Quarter Arcades
This shopping center was made out of a pedestrain zone after the buidlings were united by constructing roofs above the former streets. The shops at Victoria quarter are mostly more expensive than average, but the most interesting is the mixture of the 1990s galss/steel roof and the victorian buildings.
Best city for a hen day/night
"Getting to Leeds-the place to be."
There are loads of trains running to Leeds from all over the country making it easy to get to and a Hub of city life. And if like me you are going for a hen day/night, or just a night on the tiles you can enjoy a bottle of champers en route by taking the train!
For my friends hen day we visited Waterfall Spa on Dock Street in Brewery Wharf (an area fast becoming the place to be in Leeds, with fantastic restaurants and boutique shopping).
"Our Hen Day"
Waterfall Spa was fantastic. From the minute we got there we were treated like princesses! We were given our own robe and complimentary slippers, and a locker swipe card with our very Hollywood alias on it!(a very cute touch.)
The changing rooms were immaculate and very stylish and the showers were wonderful, like having a massage before we'd even begun!
We were then led through to the Spa area which has a hydro-therapy pool, an aromatherapy steam room and a sauna, the staff were really friendly and relaxed as they showed us around the facilities.
We chose to have a 'Rasul mud chamber' treatment because there were four of us and its a treatment you can have together. It was fabulous, after smothering ourselves in the rich creamy mud, we sat back and relaxed as our skin soaked in the goodness. And washing it off was really nice to, as warm sprinkles of water fell from the roof.
I also had a tension busting massage which i found really relaxing and beneficial as i suffer from back ache a lot.
The girliest part of the day was when we had manicures and pedicures in the PINK nail area!It was so cute-they have pink lounge chairs side by side so you can just lie back and have a chat whilst your nails are being pampered!
We had the champagne lunch which was absolutely delicious! I chose tempura squid to start, followed by swordfish steak and several glasses of champers!
Apparently the food is brought in from a restaurant across the road-and you can tell-it was lovely!
Then it was time to chill out in the relaxation boudoir. The beds were circular so you could spread right out and were surrounded by beaded curtains to soften the light and give some privacy. They had so many soft cushions and were soooo comfy, i almost fell asleep!
Now all i need is for another of my friends to get married so i can go again, or maybe even a man of my own!
Do check their special offers before you go too, as they often do very affordable deals.
"Our hen night"
After our relaxing day at the spa we were refreshed and glowing and ready to hit the town!
First we went to Baby Cream a stylish A-lister bar with delicious cocktails. The decor was very alluring with candle lit booths and reflective black tables which caught the light beautifully.Perfect for huddling round to gossip over cocktails or pose for future husbands!
Afterwards we headed off to The Mint Club to dance the night away on our pedicured tootsies : )
The mint theme is evident throughout the club with holes in the middle of the tables and chairs and even embossed mint lettering. This may sound cheesy, but it was far from it. The music was fantastic and it had a great atmosphere too.
All in all i would rate my weekend in Leeds as the best hen day/night i have ever been to and will definitely be returning to both Waterfall Spa and the exciting bars and clubs of Leeds city centre.
