An easy walk to the centre

I stayed here with a friend over New Year 2008/09, room was clean with tea, coffee and biscuits that were refreshed each morning. Also en-suite and had a TV in the room, good curtains too, it was nice and dark.
I got a good deal by booking on-line, one night was £54, the other £40 which was not bad considering it was New Year's Eve and Day.
Down sides? The breakfast wasn't included and was £6.10 per person. There aren't many shops around as you're a little out of the centre. It was, however, an easy walk and we found a Pizza Express open close-by for New Years Day dinner (not much else was open that day).
Reception staff were very nice and there were lots of free newspapers snd local magazines around. It also had its own bar.
It's also close to the train station; about a 10 minute walk.
The IBIS doesn't have its own parking but we used a public car park over the road. It was free overnight but you had to get up early to put money in the machines for the next morning.
