Packing List

Bring an umbrella, it rained two of the 3 days I was there. Sturdy walking shoes, especially if chasing lambs to take pics :) Lots of film to waste while trying to take pics of lambs :(
But also you can take pics to prove the sun did come out at some point, as evidenced by this pic of me at Robin Hood's Bay :) Well, my uncle brought his caravan. Good thing too, with all the rain we had!

Small, sweaty and not a terribly great looking place! but if you wanna see some good alternative local bands (and occasional bigger appearances) seems anything go's...
Fancy a bit of heat with your food
by traceyspacey about Nandos
I know it is a chain but I do like it here. It started in South Africa in 1987 and arrived in the UK 5 years after that. What you get here is Portuguese flame grilled chicken. The good thing about Nandos is that you can select your level of heat that you want on your chicken. You choose how hot you want your chicken or not and then add Peri-Peri sauce to your taste. They do have a small selection of vegetarian dishes as well. It is fairly cheap here. £7.50( maybe less) for 5 chicken wings and 2 side dishes for example.
The decor appears to be different in each Nando's, so it doesn't feel too chain like. They have artwork from South Africa on display.
I found that after I came back from my travels that I order my food hotter. Nandos is a place to get food quickly, I wouldn't come here for a romantic night out though. 5 Chicken wings, Spicy rice and peri peri chips.
Summer time is Rhinos time

When the nights start to get longer and warm enough to be outside, then Headingley is the place to be. Friday nights are the best and the atmosphere is great for men, women and children.
Rugby league provides great excitement and action with all violence on the pitch.
The stadium is in a great location, in the heart of Headingley with great pub and restaurant all around. So make a night of it.
The Royal Armouries in Leeds...
by leeds
The Royal Armouries in Leeds is the new purpose-built home for the Royal Armouries' national collection of arms and armour. It traces the development of arms and armour from the 5th century BC to modern times. It was opened by HM The Queen in March 1996.
Inside the museum, interactive computer displays, videos, films, music and poetry tell the story of arms and armour in battle, self-defence, sport and fashion.
Outside, attractions include a Tiltyard for tournaments and other live displays: a bustling Menagerie Court for falcons, hunting dogs and horses and a Craft Court where the air rings with the sounds of swordsmiths and gunmakers.
Watch live demonstrations of Oriental martial arts and cowboy shoot-outs, and learn the truth about daily life as a foot soldier at Agincourt.
The use of storytellers, actor-interpreters and hands-on experiences specially designed for children make the museum an exciting experience for all the family. There are also several restaurants and coffee shops as well as plenty of rest areas.
In addition, the museum stages conferences, concerts and exhibitions and provides a wide range of sponsorship and corporate hospitality opportunities including banquets for 800 and cocktail parties for up to 1,500.
The Tiltyard features jousting and hunting displays daily from April to September and on weekends and school holidays in October. At other times demonstrations and displays of hunting animals will take place subject to weather conditions. The Royal Armouries is also at the Tower of London and Fort Nelson, Portsmouth.
