Lockers / Luggage storage

by Airpunk

Hi,

I will spend a day in Leeds this summer (from 5 am to 16pm). Could anybody tell me if there are lockers or any other possibilities to leave my bag at the National Express station?

Thanks

Leeds railway station has luggage storage - I think it is near the Starbucks Cafe - on the opposite side past the ticketing counters.

I'm not sure what it costs & what time it is open but it is a 10-15 minute walk from the coach station - though it is possible to catch a bus.

Perhaps you can e-mail national Express to ask ask if they have lockers at the Leeds Station

Cheers

Hello,

thank you very much for the links. I will try to get the information from National Express. Perhaps they also have some lockers there, of not I will use those at the train station.

All the best

CURRY NIGHT

by alyf1961 about CUTHBERT BRODRICK

The Cuthbert Brodrick is a Wetherspoons pub named after the award winning Yorkshire architect. Thursday night is curry night and for £5.50 for a curry of your choice [with rice, poppodoms, naan bread and mango chutney] plus a drink it is very good value for money. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA

TAPAS WITH A SPANISH FEEL.

by alyf1961 about LA TASCA

La Tasca is a lovely Spanish restaurant with 70 restaurants throughout Britain. They have an extensive menu but most people go for tapas for a tenner, which is excellent value as the portions are quite large. The ambiance is very Spanish and the waiting staff speak Spanish very well. I have many favourites from the menu including;
PATATAS BRAVAS deep fried potatoes in a spicy sauce.
CHORIZO FRITO AL VINO spicy Spanish sausage pan-fried in red wine.
PAELLA DE VERDURAS paella with vegetables.
POLLO AL AJILLO chicken breast cooked in white wine and garlic.

Leeds City Museum

by tim07

The Museum is free to enter & contains four floors of exhibits & displays. Photos can be taken inside for free as long as you get a permit from a member of staff.

The main exhibitions are World View, Life on Earth, Ancient Worlds, Leeds Collectors Gallery & The Leeds Story. There is also The Leeds Arena, this contains a giant map of the Leeds Metropolitan District & suspended above it are films showing images of the city.

Once the museum has been explored, there is a cafe & gift shop to visit.

The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday & Monday bank holidays.

Kirkstall Abbey Park

by spidermiss

The gothic abbey was occupied by the Cistercian monks from 1152 to 1359 when the dissolutions of the monastries had begun. The site was left derelict until the Romantic movement in the 19th Century where the gothic buildings had become fashionable. Kirkstall Abbey Park became a public park in 1869. As well as the abbey, there are walking trails in the park and alongside the River Aire.
