No frills

The Travelodge chain is known for its 'no frills' approach - no free toiletries, hairdryer etc. The idea is to keep costs low by not charging customers for things they do not need.

What they do provide is a reasonably sized room with a comfortable bed, a private toilet and shower (they do provide a bar of soap and towels), television and tea/coffee-making facilities. It is also possible to borrow a hairdryer from the reception desk if you really want one!

This particular Travelodge also has a cafe/bar and a breakfast area. Breakfast is not included, but vouchers can be purchased at reception for £7.50. Unless you are particularly short of time, it is probably better not to bother and to have breakfast in a cafe or coffee shop. There is a selection of cooked items, plastic-wrapped croissants, yoghurt etc. and some of the worst coffee I have ever sampled.

Unique Quality: This is a perfectly reasonable place to stay if you need to spend a night in Leeds city centre. It's functional and meets all basic needs.
