I was only in Leeds for one day. I took the train in from Oakworth. But we spent the day going to the Farmers Markets, and to the Malls. My cousin convinsed me to get my belly button pierced here. They actually did a really professional job. It never got infected and it looked really cute! I'll post a picture soon...
Brimham rocks is situated about 5 miles out of Harrogate, signposted from the main road between Harrogate and Skipton. Well worth a visit if you like big rocks!! (or great views) sounds a bit dull.. but take a picnic, put on some comfy shoes and you'll have a great afternoon out!
Thursday is curry night at Beckets Bank. They have about twelve curries to choose from as well as three Thai curries including vegetarian options. The curry comes with rice, two poppadoms, naan bread and mango chutney. The price is £5.50 and this includes a drink, there is a list of beer, lager, Guinness, cider, wine, soft drinks, some bottled beer or a spirit with mixer.
Available from 3pm to 10pm My favourite is chicken tikka massala with a nice cold pint of Fosters.
I loved this restaurant. The food was tasty and the service exceptional. The food is a mix of Spanish, Brazilian and Mexican.
the cocktails were delicious. I had Tapas rioja chorizo [ sausage in red wine], gambas [ prawns in a chilli sauce] and champinones [ mushrooms in a chilli sauce] with patas bravas.
I had a pitcher of IGUANA - WANA [vodka, peach snapps and orange juice.
This is more of a not what to do. I was looking on the internet yesterday and there were quite a few mentions about an interactive museum at the Tetley Brewery near Brewery Wharf. I couldn't actually find when it was open and as I live quite near I was surprised that I had not heard of this. So I contacted Carslberg, who have informed me that it is shut. I don't know when it happened, but it is shut.
