The Chantry Chapel of St Mary
by tim07
Dating from the mid 14th century, the Chapel sits on its medieval foundations on a bridge on the River Calder. It is one of only four surviving Chantry Chapels in England today.
The Chapel is open to visitors on selected dates during the year.
Wonderful Wakefield!

We have lived here since getting married in 1973, trying to make our own little Eden. We have a large garden which we work in a lot of the time and have recently had a conservatory built so we can now feel a bit more warmth when it's cold outside.
Wakefield is a popular place to live as it's close to the M1 and M62 motorways. It is only 12 miles from the big city of Leeds for entertainment and shopping, as well as close to the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
Wakefield's Finest

I can see this from the driveway of where I live. Not the greatest 'castle' in the world, but it is cool for local sites if you have to be in wakefield for any reason (not sure what that could possibly be:)
