More about Cathedral View

wonderful stay

by TripAdvisor Member saliscath

We stayed for two nights in the guesthouse "Cathedral View" in Salisbury.
We had a very clean and comfortable room with a wonderful view of the cathedral.
The breakfast was very tasty (excellent fruit salad).
Wenda and Steve are wonderful and very friendly hosts. They also gave us a lot of helpful and interesting information (maps for walks, ... ) that made our stay in Salisbury even more rewarding.
If I return to Salisbury, I will certainly try to stay in this guesthouse again.

The Best place to stay in Salisbury. A wonderful 4 nights stay .
Steve and Wenda are friendly and helpfull and made us (me, my wife and my daughter) as to be in family.
Our room was perfect, clean and comfortable . The B&B is close to the Cathedral and town center.
The breakfast is excellent (both english or continental) .

A superb B'n'B with extremly helpfull hosts.

Cathedral View is in the center of Salisury, close enough to easily walk to all the resturants, pubs and clubs but far enough away to not hear them. It is in prime possition for the cathedral being almost opposite an entrance.

I stayed for two nights at Cathedral View and enjoyed every moment i was there. The hosts, Steve and Wenda, could not do enough for you, they are excellant and very friendly.

All the rooms are excellently decorated and spotlessly clean, the bedrooms have en suite and digital TV.

For breakfast there is a great selection and the full english is highly recommended. I am sure i will be returning to Cathedral View every time i visit Salisbury.

Initially, we were not sure what to expect, however we received several helpful E.mails from Wenda, this boded well as it showed the proprietors were interested in making thier guests` stay as pleasant and productive as possible, the room was execellent with a view of the cathedral spire, breakfast was great providing a good start to the day.

WELL DONE WENDA AND STEVE

Wonderful location

by TripAdvisor Member OklahomaMimi

My husband and I spent three nights in Salisbury at Cathedral View. The area is unbelieivably beautiful and full of history. Steve and Wenda were great hosts, very thoughtful and accomodating. Steve was full of area knowledge and had lots of tips for travel and shortcuts to points of interest. Rooms were small and required a steep climb up stairs, but beds were comfy. Our third night was an add on so we had to move to a room on the front of the house. This one was too warm and we couldn't open the windows because of street noise. Still a good value for the money and a great center of operations.

Salisbury's Secret

by TripAdvisor Member cadgevix

This delightful B@B must be one of the best kept secrets in Salisbury. As you walk into the cosy hallway, catching a glimpse of the breakfast room, you just know that you wil be safe and looked after. Our room was delightful, with fresh flowers on the mantle piece, and in the window boxes, china cups on the tea tray and comfortable inviting beds.
At Steves suggestion we went to evensong in the Cathedral, a five minute walk away, and then armed with a list of personally recommended restaurents proceeded to dinner in town. We had three wonderful days and as we left, felt that we had made many new friends amongst the other quests, as we had the opportunity to chat to them over breakfast each morning.A very special little slice of life in an English country town.

Great view of the Cathedral Spire

Steve and Wenda Rampton are wonderful, caring hosts. The rooms are lovely and very clean. Breakfast was excellant. Hosts were very helpful, friendly and full of travel advice. Great location for touring the cathedral and historic town center.

A great B&B in Salisbury

by TripAdvisor Member HistoryTrail

Wenda and Steve Rampton run this very cozy B&B which is literally across the street from the historical Salisbury Cathedral Close. The room was very comfortable, and surprisingly very quiet (as the street outside is quite busy). Morning breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed meeting the other guests as we all sat around the large single table in the dining room. Wenda and Steve made us feel very much 'at home' and provided great suggestions for the adventuring we wanted to pursue in town and the area. My only regret is that we could only stay two nights there -- my next trip would include more time at this B&B.

perfect!!

Steve and Wenda obviously love what they do and you can tell. They are professional and take pride in their work. I can't fault it if I tried from the bedroom, the bathroom and the breakfast which is excellent. Steve is a wealth of knowledge on the sites so if you need advice on where to go and what to do, just ask!

grest place

The location is unbeatable, just one minute from the green of the cathedral, that you can see from the windows of your room.
The room was delightful, full of typical british character and warmness (as the hosts).
