Swindon
Swindon is the nearest town to where I live. It used to be a railway town, but the railway workshops have since closed down, and have been turned into a designer outlet village.
The picture shows the entrance to the Designer Outlet Village, once the workshops for the railway.
They have preserved some of the houses which is now called the Railway Village, that were once used by the workers.

"Queens golden Jubliee"
This clock in the town centre commemorates the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
It was inaugurated by HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 2002.
In the background you can see what I refer to as the "Tented City", huge canopies over the shopping precinct pavement.
