Army Barracks

Currently you can still find the Queen Elisabeth Barracks from 1971 in Church Crookham. They were home for many years for the 1st Battalion of the Gurkha Rifles. The barracks have been abandonned in 2000. Apparently, there was a big controversy because the Nepalese were housed in wooden shacks rather than proper brick houses. The lands have meanwhile been sold to an investor who awaits building permission.
