About 3 miles out of Hemel is the sports centre at Berkhamstead. My friends and I were members and would play 5 a side football on the superb astro turf pitch there. You can also use the gym , tennis courts and pool. well worth a visit.
My auntie Hilary lives in the village of Apsley, next to Hempel Hempstead, in Hertfordhsire. I lived there with her for 5 months after I returned from my round-the-world trip, before resuming employment.
