What a place to stay!
This was once part of the Hever Castle estate - the farm barns and cottages that served the castle. Converted very nicely into luxurious apartments, studios and hotel suites in a style in keeping with the age of this remarkable property.
While roaming around having a photo sesssion on my last morning of 2 nights here (particularly wanting to see the curved outer walls of the horses riding ring which the interior is privately owned) I came across a very cute cottage with the obvious remains of an outdoor wedding venue - and what a lovely spot for a wedding!
In the advertising brochure there are bridal suites also on offer.
All rooms have satellite television, telephone and luxury bathroom. Some rooms, including ours, have limited selfcatering facilities such as microwave, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
Shame though that no inclusive wireless connection is available - wireless is available for £3 an hour or £5 for 2 hours and reception is not available in all areas - such as our block didnt have connection. Desktop computers are available in the dining and lounge area for £1 per 15 minutes.
Resort facilities include gym, tennis courts and barbecue area - and the Hever Golf Club right on the complex.
Excellent experience of staying in luxury in buildings with medieval history - loads of character - and luxury.
Part of Petchey Leisure, a holiday ownership group - and how my relatives came to be staying there - on a timeshare exchange.
Prices for private reservations - and for breakfast included just add another £5 per person:
Suite for 2 £135
