The Taychreggan Hotel: The Drover's Inn

OK, I have never actually stayed here, although I did use to work here! There are only about 50 people living in the village - and yet there are two 5 star hotels?!? Another beautiful hotel which sits right on the side of Loch Awe, Scotlands largest fresh water loch. The food here is amazing and they have a great range of whiskey's! Occaisionally my dad does whiskey-nosing at the Taychreggan (where he shows people how to appreciate whiskey).

The Taychreggan is a great place to have a wedding, a romantic weekend, or even to go for a special dinner out!!

Ardanaiseig Hotel: Fancy some star spotting?

Ardanaiseig Hotel is like a castle - at least from the outside. Inside, it isn't quite so draughty! An amazing hotel, every room is decorated with a different theme, and each is named after a surrounding area. The food is outstanding, the service impeccable and the surrounding landscape is breathtaking!

This hotel has so many outstanding characteristics, it is difficult to name only one! The hotel has beautiful gardens, which run down to the banks of Loch Awe, forest walks surround the hotel, and there are even Highland cows as pets!

Ardanaiseig hotel: Ardanaiseig hotel

It is a baronial mansion that sits on the side of a loch and at the bottom of mountains. It is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery in the world. However, the hotel is very expensive and you will pay up to £100 or more pounds per night.
