AFB Locations.
Hi, my boyfriend is joining the Air Force and we need to select 8 locations in order of preference overseas. We are currently living in California. In the UK there are 2 options, Mildenhall and Lakenheath. I was wondering if anyone knew which destination would be better. Closer to travel spots and more beautiful??

Both the locations are in Suffolk. I love living in Suffolk, it's a beautiful county with lots of countryside and sights and yet London is close by, within 1 1/2 hours drive.
I am not too sure about Mildenhall but Lakenheath is beautiful but you can check out this website

Suffolk is great. Only 80 miles from London but parts feel like the middle of nowhere. A little flat for some tastes, but then you can fly to the Highlands from Stanstead in an hour, or the Alps in 2 if you want hills. Plenty of great towns nearby - Cambridge, Ely, Bury St Edmunds. The coast is beautiful - though not exactly tropical weather wise.
