    The Europa hotel has the dubious distinction of being the most bombed hotel in Europe. Thankfully those days have largely gone from Belfast and you should be assured of a largely undisturbed nights sleep. Pricewise it would be at the top end of the market, but for this you get a superb central location within stumbling distance of most of Belfast’s top nightspots and attractions.

    You will always be assured of craic in any of its three bars and you will have no shortage of both local and international characters to pass a few hours chatting to.

    • the world famous europa is situated near the grand opera house. recently refurbished and extended, it is now fit for a king. presidents and pms tend to stay here on vists. i saw daniel odonnel one day. you will not know who he is unless you are a 65 year old woman.

    • Known as the most bombed hotel in the world, the Europa has fell victim to numerous IRA bomb attacks over the last 30 years but in true Belfast style was never defeated. It host excellent dining, luxurious and simple rooms and it has the best location of any hotel in Belfast.

    Offers a lovely drinking location overlooking the street from which to plan the rest of evening of Belfast style boozing!
