More about Ramada Encore Belfast City Centre

Very good but poor communication between restaurant and reception

by TripAdvisor Member kevin1974uk

I stayed in the Ramada Encore Belfast last night. The hotel is only about six weeks old, and the rooms, cleanliness and value is second to none.

I ate an evening meal of lamb shank which was nice but I have had better. I also had their selection of breads (toast!) and olives. Some olive oil / balsamic vinegar will make this better. Despite reception having my credit card details, I asked for this meal to go on my room. When back in my room I received a phone call from the restaurant saying that reception had no record of my card, and asking me to go to reception with my card. This I did, and the receptionist was perplexed as to why I had been asked to go down with my card as they had my details.

I booked through the hotel's website a month in advance, booking the full breakfast as an extra. When having my breakfast, the restaurant staff tried charging me for the breakfast, and when I said I added it with my booking, they went to reception to check. I asked for fried egg and got scrambled (yuk).

The only other fault was when I got to the room and the television had "Welcome Mrs xxx" - I am and always have been a man!

Overall though very good value and will use the hotel again - although I might eat elsewhere.

Enjoyable stay

by TripAdvisor Member lettyger

The hotel is certainly new - could still smell the paint in the corridoors. The room was fine & although overlooking what we thought might be a busy road, noise wasn't a problem. The free continental breakfast was pretty good, though the self service area was a bit cramped when busy. Only about 10 minutes walk to the city centre, but some nice pubs much closer. This was our first visit to Belfast/ Northern Ireland, but certainly won't be our last.

Brilliant - I'll be back

The service in this hotel is second to none from reception, the bar, SQ restaurant and the management. The whole hotel including the bedrooms are spotless and tidy. We stayed 1 night and ate in SQ restaurant. We had an excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Unlike many hotels the bar prices and wine list were also very reasonably priced. The hotel is superbly located, minutes walk from the Waterfront Hall and also the City Centre. The cost of parking in Belfast is prohibitive so it is a real bonus to have free car parking in the new multi-storey car park next door. We had eaten reasonably late and found the free continental breakfast perfectly adequate. I will definately use this hotel again.

Great find

Really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Encore. Pleasant welcome. Great spacious room the comfortable bed. Bathroom had shower only which was fine for me. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. Free parking was very handy in carpark behind the hotel. Great location, would go back again.

Fantastic Hotel and great staff

by TripAdvisor Member LBMounty

Stayed here in June for a cheeky weekend away with friends.
The staff were fantastic so friendly they couldn’t do enough to help. The room was very good lots of room but nor much of a wardrobe just some hooks on the wall (we were only there for a few days so not a big issue). Bathroom was great more of a wet room all glass walls and slate floors.
The Bar was a good place to start and finish the night.
Can’t say enough good things about this hotel I have already recommended it to all my family and friends.

Best hotel so far in Belfast

by TripAdvisor Member cazinmalta

As a regular visitor to Belfast, I decided to try out this new hotel. My expecations were met all round. The hotel is build with modern styling, is refreshing and roomy.
I have had smaller rooms in 5 star hotels!!!
For a city break this hotel offers everything a short break needs. Well done in giving the traveller some thought.

Typical business hotel, lacking atmosphere.

Nice hotel, roomy and comfortable enough. Food was fine and service was good. However we did have an unfortunate incident when an apparent manager told us we could have a late check out time but he failed to record this anywhere. When we came to check out we were told that the full charge of the room (for 4) was put on my friends credit card (held for insurance purposes) as they thought we had left without paying!! not impressed!!

Great stay in city centre!

by TripAdvisor Member Mandy485

Just had a fantastic weekend stay in the Encore. Neither me nor my partner realised how close to the city centre this hotel was (only 5mins walk to main shopping centres and clubs and pubs). Free car parking made it even more value for money! Short wait on check in as the hotel was very busy but this was made up by very friendly receptionists. Here's a tip - ask for a room with a view over the city centre as it really made our stay a bit more memorable. We went for a concert in the Odyssey Arena which is only a ten minute walk away from the hotel...it's a pity the weather wasn't a bit warmer!

All I could ask for

Clean, fresh modern and in a brilliant location. The staff were really helpful, I couldn't have asked for more. Also very reasonably priced for the area

ideal city centre hotel

by TripAdvisor Member SPOH

Stayed here with wife and 2 young kids. Ideally located, the rooms were lovely and we were even upgraded to inter-connecting rooms. Parking was great. Will Definitely be back.
