Causeway Hotel: Scenic Beauty

The Causeway Hotel is at the start of the trail leading down to the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, County Antrim. The bar has warm, cozy booths, snugs, while you look out on the pounding surf and awesome skies.

Magherbuoy Hotel: Lovely Rooms, but watch the Hen Nights

This is a modern hotel, which appears to have recently undergone a refurb. Rooms are huge and can accomodate up to 3 people. All rooms have a double bed and single bed as standard.

The bathrooms are also a pretty decent size, and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean.

Full satellite TV coverage in every room, and ample wardrobe space.

Breakfast was included in our rate, which was a very good deal from the hotel direct.

The hotel does have a fitness centre which we did not use.

The hotel bar has a lively atmosphere, and serves great bar snacks

Staff were all extremely friendly ( maybe could do with somemore staff on breakfast duty)

The only negative was that when we were there, 3 Hen Nights were also there, and they decided to sing out of the windows at 5AM ( the exuberhence of youth), having spoken to a few locals, apparently this hotel is a popular venue of hen nights, so be aware but dont let it put you off.

The Hotel Restaurant was Fab. See separate reviews in restaurants

Causeway Hotel: Causeway on your doorstep

This fine hotel has been open for business for over a 150 years and is ideally located if you want to take in the many attractions on the site at your leisure. The views out over the Atlantic from this clifftop perch are stunning on a fine summers evening (best taken in with a nice drink).

The Causeway on your doorstep.
