Golden Hill Guesthouse: Absolutely brill!

Four miles from Omagh, set high on the side of a hill with stunning panoramic view laid out below......

The sound of birds and the wind in the trees and nothing much else to hear except the lowing of cattle and the very occasional car or tractor.......

Hares in the fields.....

Friendly, welcoming yet unobtrusive hosts....

Modern, warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms...

A microwave, a fridge, free wifi, a guest lounge with the same stunning view and books ...

A breakfast with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, seeds, preserves, freshly-cooked fried foods......

Ample parking...

Very reasonable rates....

What more can you ask for?

Super place, super people......highly recommended for business travellers or as a base for exploring this lovely part of the island of Ireland.

You need a car or a taxi to get there, and a car or a taxi to find food in the evenings.

Unique Quality: The silence. The view. The hares.

Golden Hill Guest House: A GREAT PLACE TO REST YOUR HEAD

If you are looking for a comfortable central base to explore the delights of Northern Ireland then you need look no further than GOLDEN HILL GUEST HOUSE.

Tanya Attwood and her husband Chris took over the guest house in April 2008 and are enthusiastic in making their guests feel welcome. The en-suite bedrooms are very comfortable and the views magnificent.

During our stay Tanya was offering evening meals prepared by her long term friend, another Tanya. The three courses were excellent value. Well balanced home cooking using local produce, some from their own garden.

We enjoyed our five night stay immensely and would recommend you enjoy the same.

Unique Quality: Outstanding views, peaceful rural setting

Kelly's Inn: Good hotel on the main road to Dublin

We were driving down from Derry to Dublin and were looking for somewhere to spend the night as we approached Omagh. It was after dark, and we didn't find anywhere in Omagh itself. We continued for 11 miles south on the A5 (Dublin road), and there was Kelly's Inn.

The hotel is conveniently situated close to the main road; the atmosphere is very pleasant. The room was nice and so were the dinner and breakfast. The staff was friendly.
I definitely recommend Kelly's Inn for travelers on the A5 who want to spend the night in a nice and convenient place.
