PADSTOW - A REAL DELIGHT
by zuriga
"CHARMING FISHING VILLAGE"
Of all the seacoast Cornwall towns, Padstow quickly became our favourite. It isn't mobbed with tourists once the season is over, and the huge selection of restaurants (most are excellent) is a bit overwhelming. Being centered in the middle of Cornwall, it was easy to drive just about anywhere in a short time. That said, it must be hell during the busy time of year.
"PADSTOW IS HILLY!"
It can be a climb down to the harbour if one is staying in the outskirts of town!
Padstow, North Cornwall
by Geoff_Wright
Padstow lies on the North Cornish coast, and is one of the most popular of the Cornish villages. Unfortunately almost all the village houses and cottages are either Holiday Homes, or converted into expensive shops.
.
Padstow has one of the highest property prices in the whole of the UK. The average property is now in excess of £317,000.
.
Padstow is still an important fishing port, and is very worthy of a visit, but come early, or you'll not find a parking place!
