More about Coswarth House
Highly recommended - what a boutique hotel should be
Coswarth House is a beautiful property that has been tastefully restored into a deluxe small boutique hotel of 3 bedrooms. Great attention to detail, beautifully decorated rooms, great location literally minutes from Padstow town centre and delicious breakfasts. All in all a lovely place to stay!
We have just returned from a trip to Padstow and stayed at Coswarth House........................ well alls we can say is excellent, really really lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mary and Mike truly have got a magnificent place there! Its like stepping into a 5 star hotel (but better!!) The house is gorgeous and you are instantly made welcome by them both! We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and it was an excellent and truly romantic place to stay!!
We arrived after a long journey from Lancashire and were made welcome instantly. The room was fabulous............ lush lush lush!! We stayed in the Bruynee Room and in my opinion we made an excellent choice although when we booked the room it was so hard to choose because all of the rooms looked gorgeous!
They were always on hand to offer advice on the best places to eat and the best places to go and they made the trip much easier as neither of us had been to Cornwall before so it was great to have someone on hand to offer advice on where to go and what to do!
The house was divine and we would both highly recommend it to friends and family. We are hoping to book the whole house out for a weekend next year with friends and family. I think I will be endulging in a massage treatment next time though! Although I did purchase some of Marys homemade hand wash and I'm sure I'll be putting in some more orders before Christmas!!!
Not only was the house lovely but the food was delicious as well. So hats off to Mike for all the cooking!!!!!! All the food is sourced locally and you can truly tell they have gone to great lengths to ensure the guests are spoilt with lovely food- the menus even tell you where everything is sourced from......... a really nice touch to know that a lot of thought and consideration has been put into the menus!!!
We wish them every success for the future and I am sure the business will prove to be fruitful and successful!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to go back next year!

Felt right at home
One of the first to book a stay at Coswarth House, we have never felt more at home thanks to Mike and Mary, they make such an effort, one has to appreciate we get time off , they have to keep going 24 / 7, Padstow is lovely if a little trendy, the walks are spectacular, the food guaranteed, not to mention coswarths breakfasts !!
Pure indulgance ! Absolutely 5* !
This is certainly 5* ! The owners Mike and Mary have shown excellent attention to detail ! Mary advised us on the local area and resturants etc which was very helpful.
On arrival we were served tea and cake in our room which was very nice and welcoming !
Our room was very clean, with fresh flowers a lovely extra, a superb tea/coffee/cake tray! A silent fridge with chilled filtered water and complimentary wine - excellent touch ! And fresh milk !!
Wonderful bed with very good quality linen ! Bathrobes and slippers were very luxurious !
The view over the estuary was outstanding, we had breakfast in our room at the table overlooking the estuary, this was pure indulgance. The breakfast its self was superior, good quality ingrediants and a good selection on the menu !
The bathroom too was excellent ! A wonderful bath to relax in and look over the estuary, a real treat ! A huge shower and home blended toiletries were a perfert extra !
We cannot recommend this hotel enough ! We will certainly be back !
Thank you for a wonderful stay !
Incredibly special Coswarth Hosue
A very, very special place indeed. The attention to detail and understated luxury of Coswarth House cannot be overstated. A five star rating does not do it justice! Mike and Mary's attention to detail is superb and the little touches they add make Coswarth House more than you would ever expect from a B&B. And the food is simply divine. Foodies heading to Padstow will be missing out if they do not sample one of Mike's amazing breakfasts!
What a delightful stay!
We stayed here for part of our Cornwall honeymoon in August and were absolutely delighted with everything. Our room was lovely- large, bright and airy and had a great view of the estuary. The en-suite, although not part of the bedroom, was also spacious with a large shower and roll top bath over looking the estuary. Don't let this put you off- it was worth the short walk across the hall for the view!
The attention to detail was particularly nice- top quality bedding, robes, slippers, silent mini fridge with fresh filtered water and complimentary wine, hand made aromatherapy toiletries blended by Mary and a tray full of delicious drinks and treats!
The breakfasts cooked by Mike were excellent and although I tried many different things I was never disappointed! I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad followed by eggs Benedict or scrambled eggs with salmon which were both delicious! The weather was fantastic while we were there and we couldn't resist eating at the top of the garden whilst enjoying a lovely estuary view.
I cannot recommend this place enough, we thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon in a place that was easily accessible to Padstow and many close costal walks and with owners that really take the time to ensure their guests have the best stay possible. We tried most of the recommended restaurants which were great ( No 6 was particularly good) and we were even given bucks fizz to celebrate during breakfast on the last morning of our stay.
Thank you so much for a great stay- we will definitely be back!

Padstow's first 6 star accommodation - Michelin stars to follow soon!!
Everything is catered for at Coswarth House; tea and cake and a warm welcome on arrival; chocolates, wine and homemade goodies in the room; sumptuous breakfasts; great local knowledge; fantastically decorated rooms.
We'll definitely be back to sample more of the same. Thank you both very much.
The Coswarth is like being at home which is always a good thing when you're travelling alot. My husband booked this as a surprise and I wasn't dissapointed. Mike & Mary have made their home a very comfortable and stylish place to stay which is also well situated for walking to the town. Looking forward to our return!
Had the most amazing 3 night stay at Coswarth House. I can't recomend this place highly enough. We felt so relaxed and pampered we didn't want to leave. Beautiful rooms and very scrummy breakfasts!! If you go to Padstow this is the place to stay!
What a find!
I booked into Coswarth House having read very good reviews on Trip Advisor.
We were in no way disappointed, everything from the welcome that Mary and Mike, the owners gave us, to the room was just perfect.
Their attention to detail was fantastic, I think they must have spent a long time thinking what a perfect stay would entail and then delivered it.
Just to top it all the quality of the breakfast was exceptional.
Overall, top quality, spacious accomadation, lovely owners for whom nothing is too much trouble and tasty food served in the beautiful garden.
If we return to Padstow we would not consider staying anywhere else.
