The Old School Hotel: A real Doc Martin experience!
Though this place was a little more expensive than most I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I payed 52 pound a night in the high season but it was worth it.
My room had a georgous view overlooking the bay. It was clean, well decorated and the bed was comfy.
Unique Quality: The view from my room was stunning but the main attraction for me was the fact that this place plays a big role in the tv series. It is actually the local school on the show. In reality the hotel was once the village school up until not that long ago.
Also the hotel has a very good restaurant. The prices are a bit high but the the food is excellent!
I found the people to be very friendly and helpful which is always a bonus.

Slipway Hotel: You Can Touch The Sea
This is a16th century friendly family run 12-bed hotel set in the heart of the beautiful old fishing village of Port Isaac. An ideal base for a cornish holiday be it golf, walking, sailing or cycling.
It looked to be under 'renovation' when we visited.
Unique Quality: Food and Drink: average charge for dinner, excluding drinks, between £11 and £20
