Bartle Hall: Country Hotel
I have not stayed at this hotel.
But we used to dine many years ago when Alfonso and Michael owned it.
The hotel is in very picturest suroundings.
Update 18/04/09
I was at a wedding on sat at Bartle hall Hotel. the hotel as not changed much since my last visit. The gardens are still very good for photographing a wedding perhaps better than the Pines.
The wedding lunch was was very good perhaps the best that I have had so far at a wedding, that are the good points.
The food is hote cuisine and the veg was all dente so as the food was very good there was not much off it. In the evening the buffet was bacon sausage on buns with chips a bit diferent.
The prices of drinks at the bar were well over the top 1 pint of Carlsburg £3.55,a small coke about £1.60. A room for the night special rate for two people £110.
If you have a lot of money this place is fine but if not stay away.
Unique Quality: This hotel would be a good place for a wedding reception with its gardens and peacefull location.
The hotel still as the feel off the old hall and as had new buildings added tastfully
Bad points expensive

Holiday Inn: City Centre Hotel
I have not stayed at this hotel but I have been inside
This is a standard city hotel with good accomadation restaurant and bar.
Preston city centre as none off the fine old hotels as you see in other towns and citie
This hotel replaced the Old Bull and Royal Hotel Church Street.
Unique Quality: Close to the city centre and across the road from the new Crown Court also next to the bus station which may be demolished soon.
