I've been to Callander several times now. My first visit was in the Winter and my most memorable. Snowcapped mountains, stunning colours and great skies. I was just passing through but just had to stop. Since then I always allow at least a few hours and it's well worth staying alot longer than that. Take the short circular walk around the river ... very pleasant .. or picnic on the grass or just stroll along the lovely main road.
