Four years of my life.
"Memories"
I wonder if I can find photos from my time in Biggar. I'll have a look in the photo box and see what's there. My children were babies then and photography was very basic for those with little money. I felt that the winter lasted from October to May and then it rained. I can remember good weather but I don't think I noticed it particularly. I used to take the pram (push chair later) down the road, past the churchyard and into the main street to do the shopping. We'd maybe go into the Townhead Cafe for an outing, (it's a modern fish and chip shop now) or go to Cadger's Brig and look for things in the water. There is a considerable amount of interesting history surrounding Biggar, if you follow this link you'll find out who used Cadger's Brig http://www.clyde-valley.com/biggar/people.htm I'll write more another time and find some of my own photo's.
