Good hotel with terrible leisure facilities
We chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had leisure facilities. The hotel was fine - clean rooms, good service and reasonable food. The leisure facilities, however, were terrible. They were in a separate (unmanned) building, and looked as though they had been forgotten about and left to sink into disrepair. Very few of the cardio machines in the gym worked, the carpet was filthy (dead insects and mud), advertised sauna and steam room were closed, tiles beside the pool were filthy (mud and rubbish), pool walls were covered in green algae, ceilings were covered in fungus...I could go on. I noticed as we were leaving the hotel a couple of days later that the pool was closed for 'essential maintenance' for 2 days - I think it would have taken a lot more than 2 days to sort out the problems in this facility. Good base for exploring the surrounding countryside - dreadful leisure facilities.
