Very wide main street
In a country whose traditional towns boast very wide main streets, to accommodate weekly agricultural markets, Moffat’s High Street is one of the widest. In the picture yu see roughly one-third of the width: this section accommodates parking perpendicular to the pavement, plus a two lane road. Behind me, are two rows of parking, again perpendicular to the pavement and behind again, another two lane road with further parking at the kerbside.
