Travel Tips for Aberdeen

Attention: Digital camera users

by AC1

f you are using digital camera, there is a real good deal by Boots. For developing 50 pieces of digital camera shoots, all you need to pay is 5 pounds. That is 10p per 4R size. It is a good deal.

The garden at Fyvie Castle

by shrimp56

You can also visit a reconstruction of a Scottish walled fruit & vegetable garden.
.
The picture shows a pot of local flowers in front of a slit where warriors once waited in defense of the castle.

Best seafood in town at bargain prices

by dubaikelly about Bistro Verde

This is the best place to go for good quality food at bargain prices. Lunch time specials are fab 2 courses for 7.95 or 3 courses for 9.95. Mediterannean decor and fell to the menu but using the best local seafood. Have been back again, again and again. Quite small place so booking a must. Evenings are mostly same menu but rather more expensive. Great place for a boozy/quality lunch with girlfriends. Thai Mussell Soup with Noodles - absolutely fantastic. Fresh flavour and the tastiest mussells in their shells. Love food that you have to get your fingers into. Bread to die for.

Dunnator Castle

by Sharna.

The broken down castle is almost entirely surrounded by cliffs. Past wars and years of harsh weather have worn down the castles strength. Although not a complete castle the ruins make for fun exploring. Many of the rooms and buildings are labelled with their name and once active use.

Balmoral Castle - the Royal summerresidence

by globetrott

Balmoral Castle may be visited by tourists except during the summer season (july/Sept). - these times may vary from year to year.
