Calluna

I would not have expected such a nice place to stay in drab, uninteresting Fort William - But Calluna is excellent. I highly recommend it as a place to stay.

Accommodation is superb value for money and the owners are very friendly, helpful people (Important). It also has the best drying room in Scotland (and with good reason - the west coast and Ben Nevis gets its rain in bucket loads!)

If you are planning walking, skiing or climbing, Alan is your man. He is one of Scotland's best mountain guides yet a very modest gentleman. See his website for information.

Unique Quality: Calluna is up on the hill above the town, so peaceful and with potentially great views.

It is amongst other houses and has only modest "first impressions" but is a real gem of a place. You'll be happy there.
