Gairloch _ Wester Ross _ Highlands _ Scotland
"10pm in Wester Ross, Scottish Highlands in June"
In the Highlands of Scotland during late June the sun barely sets. It dips below the horizon for a few hours but some rays of light still manage to escape over the horizon. On a cloudless night you can see all night without artificial light.
Gairloch is a village in Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands. It is a beautiful village with palm, trees, a small harbour and long sandy beaches. There are bars and restaurants and guest houses a plenty.
This picture was taken on 9th June 2007 around 10pm. Biba and Vanja from Zagreb, Croatia with Russell on the road high above the golden sands of Gairloch.
"Vanja in Gairloch, Wester Ross"
Vanja from Zagreb, out for dinner in the open air amongst the palm trees in Gairloch, Wester Ross, in the Scottish Highlands.
This picture was taken outside the Loch bar. Gairloch has plenty of places to eat and drink and a number of hotels and guest houses.
