Iona hostel: not the abbey but real nice

21 beds in a chalet a mile and half walk from the ferry this is a decent alternative to the abbey accommodation concentrating on the nature side of this special island. It advertises itself as" having the best views and duck eggs this side of heaven"
I do not know of how they taste in heaven but were highly enjoyable after one of thr best nights sleep i have had since orkney.
The sea air and the swirl of the atlantic have something to do with this

Unique Quality: great views,in fact views that make you cry with happieness. The west coast of Mull is at its most beautiful from Iona

Iona Abbey: heavenly atmosphere

The Iona Abbey houses people with 3 meals a day for about £15 a day .The rooms are basic .You can contribute to the daily life of the abbey or do your own thing.A nice relaxed atmosphere

Unique Quality: This cradle of christianity was one which i thoroughly attuned to, the island is quite unique and well worth the difficoulty in reaching. It seeems apity so many people go for the day when they can enjoy the peacefulness of this undescribable island.
